How We Work
-
We’re fully transparent with you from start to finish, with unlimited consultations whenever you need them. Ask anything, any time. Weddings are a once in a lifetime moment, and your photography and videography should feel perfect.
-
In keeping with our documentary background, we work discreetly. Your wedding is for you, not a photoshoot. We always work with a couple first approach.
-
We have extensive experience in the wedding industry, but our background goes far beyond it. We’ve worked in press, branding, advertising, and fashion, and we bring that wider creative experience into the way we tell your story. This isn’t a side job for us. It’s our full time craft, and we care deeply about the work and your wedding.
Our Process
-
Every couple receives a complimentary pre wedding shoot as standard. It’s one of the best ways to set you up for a relaxed, natural wedding day. It breaks the ice, helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and lets us learn what feels most like you.
If you’re someone who “doesn’t like having your photo taken”, don’t worry. That’s exactly what it’s for. By the end, most couples feel far more confident, and it really shows on the wedding day.
-
If we haven’t been able to arrange a venue visit before the wedding, we’ll arrive well ahead of time on the day to scout locations and plan our angles. This doesn’t affect the hours you’ve booked us for. It’s simply part of how we work.
Knowing the layout, the best horizon lines, and the direction of the light makes a huge difference to how your photos and film come out.
-
We aim to deliver your photographs within two weeks of the wedding. It isn’t rushed. We’re simply experienced, efficient, and consistent in our workflow. Your images will be delivered via a secure online gallery, where you, your family, and friends can view and download them with ease.
If you’d like physical products such as albums, books, wall art, or prints, we can arrange those for you. There’s absolutely no rush to decide.
Video takes a little longer. Final delivery is typically a minimum of one month, as the edit is more involved. We’ll stay in touch throughout the process to make sure the finished film feels exactly right.

“A dream to work with!”
“We feel so lucky to have had Luke and Sam as our wedding photographers. From the very beginning, they made us feel completely comfortable and at ease meaning we could just enjoy the day while they worked their magic behind the lens.
We were really impressed by how many other vendors on the day praised their professionalism and thoughtful approach. They are not only talented but also a joy to collaborate with, which made the whole day run so smoothly.
LVRS packages are packed with value as they offer so much without compromising on quality. Every penny was worth it. The photos are absolutely stunning and capture the most magical, emotional moments perfectly. We’ll treasure them forever.
If you’re looking for someone who’s warm, professional, and incredibly skilled, we couldn’t recommend LVRS more highly!”

Real Weddings
Here are a few real weddings with real couples. These are full wedding stories, not just highlights, so you can get a true feel for how we work across the whole day. You’ll see the quiet moments, the chaos, the laughter, and the big celebrations, all captured in a relaxed, documentary way with an editorial finish.
If you like what you see, and you want to view a full gallery from a wedding that feels similar to yours, just ask and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Wedding Videography
Our highlight films are a romantic snapshot of your day, crafted to feel like you. We film in slow motion and edit to music you genuinely connect with, so it feels personal, not generic. The focus is always the emotion and atmosphere, the nerves, the laughter, the hugs, the little glances, and the moments you might not even notice until you see them back.

Some FAQ’s
-
Documentary first, with a little gentle direction when it helps.
Most of the day is photographed as it naturally unfolds, real moments, atmosphere, and the story as it happens. I’ll step in briefly for relaxed portraits and any key group photos, then let you get straight back to your day. -
Pricing and package options are in our brochure. Once you submit the enquiry form on this page, it will load straight away so you can view everything in one place. If you’d rather, share your date and venue, we’ll guide you to the best fit.

-
LVRS coverage includes pre-wedding planning support, documentary coverage on the day (with relaxed portraits when needed), and a carefully edited final set of images. Your photos are delivered in a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share everything easily.
-
Yes, we offer photography and hybrid photo + film coverage. Hybrid includes documentary photography alongside a cinematic highlight film, capturing the key moments and atmosphere of the day. Full details, options, and example deliverables are in the brochure.
-

A realistic turnaround time for documentary wedding photos is usually a few weeks, depending on the season and workload. With LVRS, your photos are delivered within 2 weeks. -
When choosing a documentary wedding photographer in London, look for real wedding stories (full galleries, not just highlights) so you can see consistency across an entire day. Check that their approach is genuinely unobtrusive, that the editing style feels timeless, and that they handle low light and busy timelines well. Experience matters too, someone who’s covered a wide range of weddings will stay calm under pressure and still deliver the story, whatever the day throws up.
-
Yes many documentary wedding photographers offer pre-wedding shoots. The main point isn’t “perfect photos”; it’s an ice breaker. It gives you a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, understand how we work, and go into the wedding day feeling more relaxed and natural.
-
An unobtrusive documentary wedding photographer works quietly in the background, focusing on real moments as they happen rather than directing the day. We’ll anticipate key moments, stay close enough to catch the story, and step in only when it genuinely helps, like for a short set of relaxed portraits or quick group photos, then let you get back to your day.
-
Documentary wedding photography focuses on real moments as they unfold, with minimal direction, capturing the story, atmosphere, and interactions naturally. Traditional posed coverage is more directed, with set portraits, staged moments, and more time spent arranging people and scenes. Most couples choose documentary when they want the day to feel relaxed and genuine, without turning it into a photoshoot.
-
For many couples, yes, hybrid photo + highlight film coverage is worth it, especially in London where the day can move quickly and there’s a lot happening at once. Photos give you the full story and details, while a short highlight film brings back the movement, speeches, and atmosphere in a different way. If you want to relive how it felt as well as how it looked, hybrid is a great fit.
